Attention is given to drafting, designing, and mechanics of several different loom types. A major portion of the book covers loom-controlled pattern-weaving techniques ranging from the simplest one-shuttle weaves on four or fewer shafts to multishaft versions and complex structures with multiple warps and wefts. The final chapters showcase the work of several contemporary weavers and describes drawloom techniques for a variety of different weaves.
