Our dues are $15.00 a year.
Meetings:
We meet the 2nd Saturday of each month, Sept. through June, from 1:00 to about 3:00 p.m. in the Rogue Valley Manor, a retirement community where several of our members live.
Focus Areas:
The purpose of this organization is to contribute to the knowledge of and provide for continuing education of weaving and related fiber arts, to promote interest in weaving and fiber arts in the local communities and to encourage improvement in our own work through comparison and sharing.
Outreach:
Saturday Guild helps to staff a weaving studio in facilities provided by the Southern Oregon Historical Society, and located in historic Jacksonville, OR. In the studio we have exhibits of weaving, and looms set up for children and adults to weave on, giving many their first experience with a loom. While weavers work on floor looms and tapestry looms; there are also spinners with their spinning wheels. The studio is open on Saturdays, Memorial Day weekend through mid-December .
