Focus Areas:
The Beaconsfield Hooking Crafters Guild is a non-profit organization which was founded as a guild in 1975. It is located on the West Island, 15 minutes from downtown Montreal. Our objective is to keep rug hooking alive as a fiber art form and develop it further to include rugs, wall hangings, pictorials, sculpted pieces, cushions, stool covers and much more.
Outreach:
Courses and workshops: Our guild has two wonderful experienced teachers. We try to offer new courses each season.
Show: Every two years in September, we host an Exhibition over one week-end.
Fund raising: We have auctions from time to time throughout the year of wool, kits and other supplies.
Social Events: Our guild always gives a demonstration on Heritage Day. Every year a picnic is hosted by us or by another rug hooking club. We have a Christmas luncheon and a mid May luncheon.
Misc:
31 members.
